Contract Binding Division
Located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Contract Binding Division of Max Specialty Insurance Company markets and underwrites general liability, commercial property and multi-peril policies on a surplus lines basis through a small network of appointed wholesale general agents on a nationwide basis.
Max Specialty’s Contract Binding team has strong underwriting experience and writes a broad spectrum of small commercial businesses through a limited number of agency appointments. While the agents write the majority of the business utilizing their binding authority, we also entertain classes of business on a referral basis, as outlined in our agency manual.
Max Specialty believes in building solid, long term, profitable relationships with our agents. Our limited number of agency appointments coupled with our commitment to provide service to our agents enables Max Specialty to maintain strong relationships and build “franchise-value.”
We have established a binding authority which allows agents to quote and bind policies up to $15,000 in premium.
